A still life honoring the lifetime career of a professional firefighter.

Memorabilia includes fire hoses, shiny nozzles, an ax, an alarm box, a lithograph of a vintage fire wagon, a cast iron fireman on the run, his helmut and department portrait photograph. I completed the tribute to this fireman, an everyday hero with the element of fire -- the illusion of a lit match -- a subtle touch of living drama to break the boundary of still life.

Tom passed in January 2006. No fires in the sky while Tom's on watch. Salute.

Drew, I just received the print of “Rescued Angels” and it absolutely beautiful! Adrian will love it! The sweetheart in the middle looks like his rescued little girl “Gabby”. His other rescue, “Ricky”, is a snowshoe. Adrian picks up and delivers Siamese for the Florida rescue folks, and falls in love with every one of them.
