Tranquil and serene, in this Drew Strouble Trompe l'Oeil still life painting, the light glistens on blue glass bottles and plays on a knife's blade, all the while diffusing through the aqueous medium in the painter's clear glass.

This is the only still life I've ever done with natural sunlight as the light source. Because it's ever-changing, I was only able to catch this light to paint for about an hour and a half each day. But the end result, infused with an ethereal glow, was well worth the effort.
